Pets in rental properties

Did you know that there are 189 new reforms to the Residential Tenancies Act that will be coming into effect by July 1st, 2020? Some, in fact, have already taken place! The laws around pets in rental properties changed on March 2nd. Renters can keep pets at a rental property, with the written permission of the rental provider (landlord). Rental providers can only refuse permission with approval from the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Want to know more?
