What is NRAS?
NRAS (the National Rental Affordability Scheme) is a federal government backed initiative designed to increase rental affordability for low and middle income tenants.
How does it work?
Property investors purchase NRAS apartments and offer a 20% discount on the market rent for that property to eligible tenants. In exchange, the Government will provide the investor with an incentive paid annually. The current inventive is $9981, and increases every year for 10 years.
